A life of a thousand cuts.
From playing with action figures and creating stop motion animations, to editing movies & trailers for clients across the country, now I’m here to work for you. With a BFA in Film Editing from DePaul University and over 6 years of editing experience under my belt, I’m ready to get out there and help you make your videos shine like never before.
Born in the Chicago suburbs in 1999, I was always a creative child. I wrote original books on folded printer paper (never finished), learned instruments, and created home movies of my action figures duking it out. Of course I watched and adored many movies during my childhood, but it wasn’t until I reached high school that I discovered my love for film. Thanks to my then current involvement in the performing arts, I had no shortage of actors. During the shows we put out at my high school, we needed to find another way to promote. Posters and flyers weren’t enough in the digital world, so I took it upon myself to make a trailer. I filmed over the course of an entire rehearsal day using my cell phone, and then edited it together. That process of matching music to images, of knowing when to cut, to use a title card, and what to show or not to show, that forever changed the course of my artistic journey. I made more trailers for more shows, and when I got to college I pursued my degree in editing. Through those four years, I learned what it means to be disciplined in my craft, to be passionate about my art, and to be as true to the vision as possible.
The good stuff in my life over the past decade happened through editing, which makes mine a life of a thousand cuts.
